Tending is a customized home concierge service for frequent travelers, second-home owners, and short-term rental properties. Together, we develop a checklist tailored to your home, priorities, and schedule. HomeTending then provides regular visits, takes care of the details, and reports back to you.
Routine visits may include security & property checks, seasonal maintenance, mail collection, lighting schedule, checking the work of contractors & service providers, and simply being your trusted eyes and ears while you're away.

The Story Behind HomeTending
My career began at NC State University's College of Design, where I studied architecture and earned a degree in Industrial Design while working for Walt Disney (WED Design) and IBM (Design Center). I later founded a Raleigh-based design firm, serving businesses and corporations while developing residential real estate. Those years taught me to appreciate timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty found in details done well.
After nearly twenty years, I stepped away from business to spend the next two decades serving in nonprofit and ministry leadership. That season shaped me in a different way. It reinforced the importance of integrity, humility, dependability, and caring well for others—values that guide every aspect of HomeTending today.
HomeTending is the culmination of a lifetime spent designing, building, and caring for people.
